In my eyes, the Chancellor’s Leadership Development Program stands for opportunity. Through this program I have been given opportunities to do things I would never have imagined doing my freshman year. I met the chancellor, I went on a retreat and made some deep bonds with other members of the program, I opened up to complete strangers, I got a mentor I would never have met otherwise, I was given encouragement to better myself, and I was given the confidence to explore all of the opportunities around me and pursue my dreams to the fullest extent. Without this program I would likely have done either few or none of these things my freshman year. This program gave me the tools to become the leader I want to be, to learn all I can, to develop my resume and gain experience, as well as get the courage to change my path early on in my college career.
